WIP’s Wing Bowl 14 – February 3, 2006 at Wachovia Center – was a huge success.

Close to 20,000 people packed the Wachovia Center to watch Joey Chestnut break a Wing Bowl record of 173 Wings in 30 minutesOver 80 beautiful Wingettes (the most ever!) tantalized the crowd.  One of them, Candace Cardimon, won an all inclusive trip to Cancun and some amazing jewelry.  Click here to see all the sights and even hear the sounds that make Wing Bowl the biggest and best radio station sponsored event in America. 

Wing Bowl 14 brought with it a year of firsts….

1.      Wing Bowl 14 became a ticketed event for the first time ever.  Tickets went on sale on October 23 at 10 am and were sold out by October 24 at Noon.

2.     All previous competitors, including El Wingador and Sonya Thomas, were barred from competing..  Wing Bowl 14 was dubbed “The Virgin Wing Bowl” because all contestant were first timers.
